Crackers sales down

Deepavali is around the corner and cracker sales are yet to rise. Dampeners are many, say traders. The weather, GST, demonetization, all of them have taken their toll, they say.

 

People are also considering the environmental impact of crackers and many children have taken an oath to stop bursting crackers this Deepavali.

A shop at Semmencheri was spotted, along with one at Thoraipakkam, both of which had no customers at the time.
