SEMMANCHERY–The Farm, a 70-acre one with dining and bed-and-breakfast facilities, is one of the few places in Chennai where organic produce is made fresh and served.
Owners Arul and Shalini also make a lot of their own produce which are used in the restaurant, as well as for sale. The produce includes artisanal cheeses (including one named after the area– Tomme de Semancheri), fresh organic vegatables, jams, pickles and more.
The Farm welcomes corporates, schools and families. Children can watch and pet farm animals and even pick vegetables (depending on the season and availability).
