Worker dies at sewage line construction at Sholinganallur

SHOLINGANALLUR–M. Subramani, a worker hailing from Tiruvannalamalai, died on the spot at a sewage line construction ditch in New Kumaran Nagar, Sholinganallur. He, along with other workers, was removing the planks kept on either side of the ditch when earth from one side collapsed, trapping him and co-worker, P. Subramani, underneath.

Rescue teams worked for around four hours, but could only save P. Subramani, who is undergoing treatment at a local private hospital in Sholinganallur.
