The sluggish real estate market is trying to revive itself after a disappointing year after demonetisation. After the change in the guideline value that the Tamil Nadu Government has announced, real estate groups are outdoing each other with deals to woo prospective buyers. The discerning buyer, however, knows that the increase in registration tax just about renders the advantage null.
Some companies offer free interiors and furnishing, while others offer a free car. A lot of properties are along OMR–more specifically, on the Sholinganallur-Navalur stretch where hundreds of unit lie unsold.
Insiders feel this is a good time to negotiate rates.
